Hiring Manager interview: This interview will be with your direct manager and will focus primarily on your background, qualifications, and communication skills. We suggest that you prepare some questions of your own as well.
Panel / Team interview: After you successfully pass the second interview stage, the Hiring lead will provide you with a take-home case study, which will be a hypothetical problem that you have to solve in a short period of time, and present to a panel of interviewers. The main aim is to assess your systematic thinking, analytical skills, and team fit.
Technical roles:
Initial HR-screening: The screening interview is the right opportunity for you to explain your background and set yourself apart. You can highlight what you will be bringing to this role if you’re hired, as well as why you are interested in joining the organization.
Technical interview: This interview will be with your direct manager to better assess your technical capabilities. It will mainly focus on your technical skills, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills. We suggest that you prepare some of your own questions as well.
Take home – technical challenge: Hurray!! You passed the interview with your Hiring Manager! Now you will receive a technical challenge from the Hiring lead – you will have 7 days to complete it and send it back to the technical team for assessment.
Team interview: This will be the final interview; you will be meeting with the Hiring Manager, one of Scoutbee’s leadership team, and 2-3 team members (potential coworkers). They will be asking some more in-depth technical questions, evaluating your systematic approach behind the previously submitted technical challenge and assessing if you would be a good team fit.
Please note that the interview stages may vary based on the role, and this will be communicated to you in the agenda before the hiring process kick-off.
During the kick-off of the recruitment process, the Hiring lead will provide you with the agenda; that includes what you should expect throughout the interview process.
Below you can find general guidelines that can help you prepare:

Being able to answer questions about the company will give you an advantage (examples of keywords you can use – company’s financials, executive team, culture, and values).
Carefully read and review the job description: It will give you a better understanding of the main purpose of this position, and where this role fits within the company. It will help you to align your competencies with the requirements of the role, so you can easily answer any questions about your previous experience.
Research the interviewer: Try to understand the professional background of the interviewer who will be talking to you so you can connect with them more easily.
Equipment and internet check: Make sure that you have a good internet connection, and that your webcam and microphone are working properly. Ideally, you should log in 10 minutes prior to the call, to make sure everything is working properly.
